The Chancellor, Masters and Scholars of The University of Oxford (UOXF)

The Chancellor, Masters and Scholars of the University of Oxford (UOXF) aims to lead the world in research and education for the benefit of the society both in the UK and globally. UOXF’s researchers engage with academic, commercial, and cultural partners across the world to stimulate high-quality research and enable innovation through a broad range of social, policy and economic impact.

The Mathematical, Physical, and Life Sciences (MPLS) Division is one of the four academic divisions at UOXF; the MPSL academic departments span the full spectrum of the mathematical, computational, physical, engineering and life sciences, and undertake both fundamental research and cutting-edge applied work. The Department of Materials is one of the nine departments within the MPLS Division, and one of world’s leading materials teaching and research institutions. According to the UK’s Research Excellence Framework 2021 assessment (in a Unit of Assessment joint with Engineering Sciences), 97% of the overall research was awarded the 3* (26% internationally excellent) and the (highest) 4* (71% world-leading) rating.
